Introduction |
Naju Moksaenae Geumhakheon means a house filled with the fidelity of a nobleman who listens to the sound of the geomungo and wants to be as noble as a crane. In Naju Moksaenaea, Moksa refers to a civil servant of the third rank who ruled the country under governors after the mid-Goryeo Dynasty and during the Joseon Dynasty. Naju is a thousand-year-old official residence town and is said to be the small Seoul of Honam. Moksaenaea is the residence of a Naju pastor and is a valuable cultural heritage that remains among the various government buildings in Naju Eupseong. The hackberry tree in Geumhakheon was struck by lightning in 1980 and split in two. |
