Edvard Munch was born on December 12, 1863 in the village of Adalsbruck in the Löten region of Norway.
Munch was often sick as a child and spent a lot of time at home.
Munch spent a lot of time at home as a child, so he painted a lot of things at home.
Munch decided to become a painter in the fall of 1880.
Munch held his first exhibition in Oslo in the spring of 1883.
Frits Thaulow recognized Munch's talent and provided financial support.
The Munch family lived in the village of ÅrgÅrdstrand, on the Oslo Fjord.
Munch spent most of his time in Germany, where his health deteriorated.
Munch spent the summers of 1907–1908 at the resort of Warnemunde on the Baltic coast, the German equivalent of Osgorstrand.
He died on January 23, 1944, at his home in Søyen, Norway.
